WizardPanel - Navigation & Menus

WizardPanel for WordPress utilises the built-in menu functions available to WordPress. We extend these functions with additional features including dropdown menus, mega menus, descriptions, icons, highlights and Menu2 panels. No additional menu plugin is required.

How To Access The Menus

You can access the menus directly via WordPress under:

WordPress Admin > Appearance > Menus

Menu Locations

WizardPanel for WordPress includes menu locations. These are specific places within the design where a WordPress menu can be assigned.

The available menu locations are:

Main - The main navigation menu displayed within the header. This location supports either Menu1 or Menu2.

Toolbar - The menu displayed at the top right of the header.

Legal - Displayed within the footer to the right of the copyright text.

Visit the Manage Locations tab of the Menus page to select the menu used for each location. If you have followed our steps to import the demo content these locations may already be assigned.

Main Menu Designs

WizardPanel includes two main navigation systems: Menu1 and Menu2. Both use the standard WordPress menu editor, but each has its own display options and customization features.

You can select the main menu design from the options panel within the header tab.

Menu1

Menu1 is the original WizardPanel navigation system and supports both Mega Menu and Dropdown menu layouts. It uses standard WordPress menu fields together with CSS Classes for features such as mega menu columns, highlights and custom image icons.

Menu2

Menu2 is the newer WizardPanel navigation system. It includes dedicated menu controls for Mega and Basic dropdowns, Font Awesome icons, highlights, cards and content panels. These settings are added directly to the standard WordPress menu editor.

Creating A New Menu

You can create a custom menu by clicking on the create a new menu link at the top of the Menus page. Set a name, add your menu items and then assign the new menu to a menu location.

When creating a menu for the Main location, follow either the Menu1 guide or Menu2 guide depending on the menu design you are using.
