In this tutorial you will learn how to update your Galaxy WHMCS template from V1.1 to V1.2. This update sees a lot of changes so ensure you take a full backup before updating.
First login to your account and go to My Account (top right) > My Products > downloads and download WHMCS template - Galaxy v1-1 to V1-2 update.zip, extract it to your desktop.
1) Add the new language strings
Open all of your supported language files and paste the following to the bottom (above ?>) e.g if you're using the English language: /whmcs_path/modules/addons/zomex_template_manager/english.php:
2) Add the new CSS
Open /whmcs_path/templates/galaxy/css/template.css and paste the following to the very bottom:
3) Upload the modified files
The last step is to upload the new and updated files to replace those on your live site.
Before uploading ensure you haven't made any edits to the files contained in the upload (many, many files have been changed for this update including main files such as header.tpl, footer.tpl etc) as any changes will be overwritten, we recommend making a copy of your modified files and re-applying your custom changes to the file(s) of this update.
1. Delete the Galaxy-checkout directory at /whmcs_path/templates/orderforms/
2. Upload the contents of /upload/ your WHMCS root which would be: /whmcs_path/ (e.g /public_html/ or /public_html/clients/) - ensure you're using a FTP program that replaces only the files and not the directories + contents. A great FTP program we recommend is.
