Why is the text missing on my WHMCS template?

As our templates support multiple languages the text must be added to the WHMCS language files for languages you wish to support.

Select the case that applies to you:

- I have just installed the latest template version
- I have just upgraded from WHMCS 4.5 to WHMCS 5+

WHMCS text paste
Paste the text at the very bottom of the english.php file and save.

New template installation

In most cases this suggests that you’ve missed step 4 from the installation guide. To fix this re-download the template from inside your Zomex.com account, unzip the folder and open the language.txt file. Copy the contents of this file and paste to the bottom of all of the WHMCS language files for languages you wish to support. E.g:

/lang/english.php
/lang/french.php
/lang/spanish.php
/lang/german.php

I have just upgraded from WHMCS 4.5 to WHMCS 5+

In WHMCS 5.0 the language file extensions changed from .txt to .php. Assuming you installed the template before the upgrade the language text is located in the old /lang/english.txt file. To fix this open this file and copy the template language text (marked as template text) and paste to the bottom of the new .php language files for languages you wish to support. E.g:

/lang/english.php
/lang/french.php
/lang/spanish.php
/lang/german.php

I have just upgraded Whmcs to 5 and have notice that the footer info has disappeared.
I went into the English language file and noticed that the text I had inserted at the bottom was still there. ie had not been replaced in the upgrade.
Can you suggest what I should do to fix the problem?
    Regards
    Brian

      Hello Brian,

In WHMCS 5.0+ they changed the language file extensions from .txt to .php, to fix this simply copy the template text (not all of the contents) from /lang/english.txt and paste to the bottom of /lang/english.php

      Thanks.

Ok thanks for that – You might want to update the instructions on the “Why is the text missing on my WHMCS template?” its still pointing to /lang/english.txt.
    Thanks

Please note, this will also fix layout issues noted during the initial install.
